A Colby update

So I haven't had a complete Colby blog lately. The kid cracks me up while simultaneously making me want to pull my hair out. But man isn't he handsome. God had to give him those eyes and handsome face to offset his crazy personality. Bless the woman who tames him one day! Glad I've been praying for her since she was born. I've been praying for her salvation but I may want to add her sanity too.

We had four teeth pulled out today :(. I was really dreading it because The last time I took Colby to the dentist by myself he made a bee line out of the room and made it to the parking lot before I caught him. I must say that he gets it honest though because I have made it abundantly clear I do not like the dentist under any circumstance!

We got a dose of Demerol (happy juice) and had to wait an hour for it to kick in. This facility is so nice. We enjoyed a movie while we waited.

About 15 minutes in....

About 30 minutes in...

Right before they came to get him!

I was so relieved when he hopped right on the table put the gas on and opened wide. Fifteen minutes and we looked like this:

Bless it! He is still precious!

He was starving. I didn't think he would really be able to eat. He proved me wrong! He ate every bite plus a bowl of oatmeal.

He had a little sidekick while he "rested" today. After being home about two hours he was back to his normal self.

Before going to bed he put his teeth under his pillow for the tooth fairy.

And out he went. I wonder at what age his "babies" will vacate his bed. We still tuck them in at night. That day may utterly kill me.

We are playing soccer and baseball this season. We call the sports plex our second home. It actually hasn't been too bad or stressful.

We went fishing with Nana, Poppa and Paige last weekend and caught over 60 fish. Too bad daddy didn't feel like cleaning them and we threw them all back. It was a little snakey for me but we still had a good time.

We went to Lauren's 6th bday party at chucky cheese. Getting a child to leave that establishment is flippin hard! Colby was trying to be a unicorn here....

Such a sweet friend and classmate!

His poor legs wouldn't reach the pedals. He made do though!

He had his kindergarten spring play. They all did a fantastic job. This year has flown by. I feel like just yesterday I wrote my blog about his first day at school. And yes I do still tear up if I watch him walk into school. It hasn't gotten any easier.

A fun girls trip to the coast.

Easter 2013. Yes the Easter bunny brought Colby a soccer trash can. He has complained for months that every room has a trashcan except his. He asked for it.... He got it! Now to get him to empty it!

My family at church celebrating THE risen savior.

Then we hid eggs and Colby tormented Paige like always.

Here are a few snaps from here and there

My new motto

An update on my papaw: after three weeks in the hospital he was able to come home and has a great home health PT that works with him throughout the week. He has good days and bad but is improving daily. My blog asking for prayer for him had over 150 visits. Hopefully out if all those a lot of prayer petitions were heard on his behalf. Thank you for anyone who did so. Our family is forever grateful.
