Go big or go home!

Well anyone who knows me knows that I would stick my finger in a light socket daily just to avoid the stomach virus. Well unfortunately for me it hit in full force last night. I might add that Mississippi Power had a scheduled power out last night and there is NOTHING romantic about puking in candlelight! Promptly at 8 my little man woke up STARVING MOMMA!!!! I knew I was too sick to get up but hey what are you going to do. All I remember is getting a bowl down to make him some oatmeal and the next thing I knew I was waking up on the floor screaming, very disoriented with a little boy who was scared out of his mind. He was smart enough to go wake up his daddy (who had not long gotten off of work and laid down) and next thing I know I am in an ambulance. 8 staples and a bunch of bruises later I am back home, medicated, and about to take the best nap known to man. This was easier for me than calling and texting everyone back but I do thank each one of you for the sweet words. I have an amazing group of family and friends. Pray for my little guy though. He may only be 6 but he is blaming himself pretty hard about the whole thing. I am proud he knew what to do. Love you and Goodnight!

35 years

Today my parents celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. I think anyone who is married would agree with me that marriage is extremely hard. 35 years of marriage Is unfortunately very uncommon these days so I am very proud to know that I come from such a loving Christian God-fearing set of parents who have managed to beat the odds and stay together. I love you mama and daddy and am wishing you another 35 years together!

The cheesiest blog

This is mostly a picture blog. We had planned to fish today but with the freezing temps we decided that would probably be miserable for everyone. We decided on a trip to the aquarium in New Orleans. Colby had never been (yes shame on us) and he had a great time. Get ready for a multitude of "say cheese" photos. He just oozes cuteness. Someone called him a lady killer the other day and it has completely thrown him for a loop. He said momma is that true? I don't try to kill ladies because you would have to pay me ALOT of money to do that. Hope that doesn't end up on E true Hollywood story one day....

We watched the divers play with the sting rays.

My favorite was watching the penguins. This one kept swimming right to Colby.

Every kid needs this picture.

Ok maybe he is getting tired of smiling.

Otters put on a great show!

This was the big guy we had been waiting on

Bubba Gumps for lunch! We were starving. Colby LOVES Forest Gump so I think this may have trumped the aquarium!

He had to get a silly one in there after the hundreds of smiles he had flashed that day!

I learned the big city life isn't for me. Headed back to the slow pace of Jones County living!
